Business card tips that get you remembered
- Keep it to the essentials. Name, title, company, one phone number, email and website. A crowded card is hard to read.
- Use your real role. "Founder" or "Owner" tells people they're talking to the decision-maker.
- Link to something useful. Your website, booking page or LinkedIn profile, whichever you want people to visit.
- Leave white space. People often jot a note on the card about where they met you.
- Match your invoices. Use the same logo and accent color across your cards, invoices and website.
Frequently asked questions
What size is a standard US business card?
3.5 x 2 inches (88.9 x 50.8 mm). This tool uses that size by default and prints 10 cards on one 8.5 x 11 inch Letter sheet, 2 across and 5 down.
Can I print on perforated business card paper?
Yes. The Letter layout uses 0.5 inch top and bottom margins and 0.75 inch side margins, the same layout as common 10-per-sheet perforated card stock (for example Avery 8371 and 5371). In the print window, set Scale to 100% or Actual size and turn off "Fit to page."
What paper should I use?
Use card stock of at least 80 lb cover (about 216 gsm) so the cards feel sturdy. Matte stock takes ink well and is easy to write on.
Can I add my logo?
Yes. Upload your logo above the form and it's placed on every card. In the Bold layout it sits on a white badge so it stays visible on a colored background.
I'm outside the US. Can I print 90 x 50 mm cards?
Yes. Switch Paper size to A4 and the tool prints ten 90 x 50 mm cards on an A4 sheet.
